Super Bowl

So after this afternoon and evening we now have the Super Bowl XLII set up! Who is it you ask???? It's not the teams you would have thought at the beginning of the afternoon. It's the:

New England Patriots vs. New York Giants!!!!!!

Who would have thought the Giants would have survived the Lambeau Field temperatures. I'm actually surprised ANYONE would have survived those temperatures of -1 at kick off and -4 at the end with wind chills of around... -30...

well,im a diehard cowboy fan,so im pretty upset with how this year is ending,1st of all,giants beat cowboys,no1 can beat the fag pats,so naturaly im pulling for a charger/packer superbowl.I really thought the chargers had it in them,was gonna be so happy if the pats lost..and i dislike the giants,even tho i like the manning family,they beat my team which makes me upset,plus i wanted to see farve in the superbowl,he deserves it after the season hes had. hell the career.

I really am depressed at how this season is ending,and as always im depressed that its the end of the football season. thought i mite get season tickets for the arena football team here to pass the time heh. of course watch NBA,go spurs.but ive got off topic now.

Congratulations to the New York Football Giants for defeating the New England Patriots 17-14. Amazing game, unfortunately I wanted the Patriots to win the game and finish their 2007-2008 campaign undefeated but the Giants showed up to the game and the Pats were still on their flight to Phoenix, Arizona.

The Super Bowl for all you people who aren't American Football fans is the championship game between the AFC and the NFC. NFL (National Football League) is broken up into to conferences the AFC (American Football Conference) and the NFC (National Football Conference). There are 16 teams in each conference and then they are broken into, North, South, East and West, these are called divisions.

A team plays 16 regular season games between the beginning of September to around New Year's. There are 17 weeks to the season. They have a thing called a "bye" week, where your team gets to rest for that weekend.

Then the playoffs come where you have 6 teams from each conference. You have your division champions then you have 2 "wild card" teams. A wild card team is a team that did not win their division and had the best record of their conferences. Your top 2 division champions would get that first week of the playoffs off and the bottom two division champions would then play your two wild card teams. The home field goes to the highest ranked team going into the playoffs.

So if the number 1 seed played the number 4 team, the number 1 team would be at home. If the number 4 team was playing the number 6 team, the number 4 team would be at home.
